Beautiful Inn, Wonderful Food and Sweet Hospitality!

The Blue Dory Inn is the perfect place to stay when visiting Block Island, RI! We stayed in both the “Doll House” cottage and “Ocean Sonnet” room. The cottage is your own private oasis, just steps to the beach, a great restaurant and tiki bar. The room was situated high up in a gorgeous historic Inn, complete with a skylight in which to enjoy the wave sounds at night. It was perfect for two, but if you need more room, try the cottage. The innkeeper, Julie became a friend to us during our short stay. She couldn’t have been kinder, more generous, or more helpful to us, thank you! We miss you and hope to be back sometime. The breakfast is cooked as ordered and there is a lovely array of fruit, cereal, muffins and pastries. There is also a wine and cheese hour every day. The unlimited lemonade and “Barnacle Cookies” were a hit, also! These are served downstairs in a cozy, rustic setting, or could be brought up to your room. The property in July was covered with beautiful flowers and had a lot of quaint outdoor space in which to sit and watch all the travelers go by, whether on foot, by scooter or taxi. There is free use of beach chairs and towels for your short walk to go swimming, as well! The walk from the ferry was short and the Inn is just off of the main tourist area, so nice and quiet. You can easily walk to both shops and pizza. Pet-friendly, also. The prices are reasonable, and we highly recommend coming to stay here at the Blue Dory Inn, it was AMAZING!
